Four people were arrested after they held two wedding parties on separate occasions in Zarqa, announced the city’s governor, Hijazi Assaf, on Saturday.

The first wedding took place in Birayn area and the second wedding took place at Jabal al-Abyad area in Zarqa.

The decision came as they violated Defence Order number 11 and did not adhere to the required health and safety measures, Assaf added.

Assaf called on citizens not to hold gatherings that violate the defense orders, especially since Zarqa has witnessed a spike in local COVID-19 cases.
